I'd advise you to read that the last few pages of that thread. If you already have concerns about safety then give it a miss. Metered taxi drivers don't take kindly to Uber in the area. Rather just book a lady off ESA.

I go there literally all the time. I've never had any issues. Although I have also heard about the meter taxi issues. But they have security that can escort you too and from your uber.

I have also seen quite a few white guys there as well and they were fine. It's just a matter of looking like you belong

The thing is, Chance, some of the meter taxi guys follow the Uber after it drops you off in a no-go zone. Not worth the stress, to be honest. Maybe get an Uber black and get it to drop you off inside the parking. That's what I used to do.

I often go to summit when I am up in jhb. I have always driven myself there and park in the summit parking. The guards walk you across the road. I am not from jhb so I do not know the road names but the first time that I went there it was a scary ride as I went through a really bad road worth lots of robots. I then went into Google Street view and looked at other roads to get there and found a route that has no robots and looks pretty safe. I also get there at about 17h00 and try to leave before it gets dark.

I am white and have never felt unsafe once I am in the club. If you like black wgs like I do then this place is great. I always find that the majority of WGs there are not great but there are always a couple that are out of this world. I have had some really good punts there and they are very cheap.

I'm with John on this one get there early and waai before it gets dark. You'll have a ball though cos there can be some real honey's there!

Years ago it was possible to book a room in the same building. As such one could party, consume and enjoy till the early morning hours and leave the next morning. No risks taken. Is this still the case?

It still is, in theory, possible. However due to the high number of girls booking them to work in, it's almost impossible to secure a booking
