Prostitute: Piet Pompies in his souped up Datsun with mag wheeels, Monza exhaust (for noise) and twin Twyfords bidets in the back.
Escort: Lewis Hamilton: A finely tuned piece of Mercedes mechanical genius.
A touch of class is the defining attribute, not the deed.

Re: Difference between Escort & Prostitute
But in my humble opinion it's 6 of one and a half a dozen of the other. Depends on what that escort will be doing with her client. If it's just a dinner date or companionship or attending a function then there's a huge difference.
If there's sex involved then the difference is not that great. In other words it's a close call.

Re: Difference between Escort & Prostitute
Well, you have Eskimos, Inuit, Inupiaq and Yupik, bear with me here.
Now, some people prefer to be called Inuit, some people prefer Inupiaq and in recent years the Yupik peoples have also fought for recognition. Some simply aren't bothered and call themselves Eskimos.
They are all indigenous people of the far northern latitudes, that usually live in subzero temperatures, have a fondness for seal and / or whale meat, practise matriarchal lineage and thrive in situations that would leave many a southerner on their knees sobbing.
The thing is that the Inuit, Inupiaq and Yupik are all Eskimoan People (yes Eskimoan is a word). Eskimo is the coverall term for all of the indigenous people that reside above certain latitudes in the Artic.
Now, Nootaikok (God if the Icebergs in Nootaikok, an Inuit language) may prefer to be called Inuk, the singular of Inuit, however he is simply being a little more specific with regard to what branch of the Eskimoan people he belongs to, ergo Nootaikok is an Inuk AND an Eskimo.
So, we can say that all Inuits are Eskimos but not all Eskimos are Inuit, Eskimos may be Inupiaq, Yupik or one of the many other linguistic and cultural Eskimoan groupings.
And thus, we come to Prostitutes, Escorts, Street Walkers and in some parts of the world, Strippers and Bar Girls, dare I also include Masseuses of the sensual nature.
According to the font of all human knowledge, Wikipedia, Prostitution is "the practice or occupation of engaging in sexual activity with someone for payment."
Ergo, strictly speaking, all Escorts, Street Walkers, Strippers, Bar Girls, and Masseuses of the sensual nature are Prostitutes BUT not all Prostitutes are necessarily an Escort, Street Walker, Stripper, Bar Girl, or a Masseuse of the sensual nature.
All Clear? Any Questions?

To put "lipstick on a pig" is a rhetorical expression, used to convey the message that making superficial or cosmetic changes is a futile attempt to disguise the true nature of a product or person.
Just because you dont like something does not make it incorrect.

Is this JohnDoe Dude one of the recently unbanned...?
There is no difference between the 2 "titles". Escort is a nicer way of saying prostitute. Cortesan is an even nicer way of saying it. Some people just LOVE splitting hairs.... Yawn.
Ive told people, quite happily, that I am a whore, BUT DONT CALL ME Slut! At least I have the decency to get paid for it, LMAO.

Re: Difference between Escort & Prostitute
There isn't a clear cut meaning when it comes to these two concepts for the simple reason that their true meaning i largely informed by perceptions, feelings and expectations. What might come across to me as an escort to me could mean prostitution to another person and vice versa. So like religious subjects it's easy for people to start insulting each other like it's already happening now. I would rather not crack my skull with definitions.
