Please do not give me an emotional trip on how nice Nomzamo was. You have been brainwashed. And don't try to justify her behaviour and murderous rampage with what happened to her during apartheid. She was not the only one, yet others did not choose to kill. If we all start retaliating against the world for the bad things that happened to us, the world will become a blood bath (it is in some places, because of people like that).

And remember, apartheid was not the only socially unjust system in the world, and black people were not the only people to suffer from social injustice. Educate yourself, only then you can form an opinion worthy of note.

@Lanavol, it is true that black people weren't the only people to suffer. And Winnie wasn't the only activist to be incarcerated, though it is key to note none of the political prisoners suffered as she did - and came out alive (to claim that they'd be saintly afterwards). Most of the brutally treated and tortured prisoners were killed in police custody or hung at the gallows for their political activity.
So, the argument that posits a perfectible human nature of the victims and political prisoners of Apartheid is misplaced in my view.

It is not fair to dictate to anyone who is wronged as to how they should react. Apartheid police wasn't interested in the humanity of any black person or white person who opposed Apartheid. It is rather interesting to expect humanity in return from someone mistreated that way.
This should be the choice of the wronged person. Fortunately, in SA and great credit goes to the men and women who eked out a relatively peaceful transition to democracy.

So, I too enjoy some of the mental gymnastics that comes with living in this beautiful country. And such discourse is important to find one another and understand that all citizens must make peace with our gory past in order for the country to move forward.
