I suppose I will have to start to invest in getting an Explanatory English Word Book, seeing that I am an Afrikaans speaking Lady.

So far Google helped me out a lot.

I just need to make triple sure that my English is really English and that it
doesn't relate to anything Afrikaans.

I also think everybody ia trying their best to stick to the rules (language rule anyway). Would allowing an English, Afrikaans or African language word....with the English translation right with it really be such a bad thing? I know one of the reasons given for the language rule is because of international visitors/users of the site If an international visitor manage to actually learn one or two words in one of our languages.....wouldnt that be a good thing?

I've learnt a few words in Zulu and Xhosa and it was fun. The black ladies and clients probably laugh at my attempts at translation, but i can also laugh at myself and my lack of knowledge in the language. I see mostly locals off esa...maybe im just not popular with foreigners, but i would think they account for a small percentage of contributors. Hell, I dont understand African languages but I'm not going to get my panties in a knot about it because our country is diverse and there are other threads to read.

I wonder if it's really worth all the hassle...most are always willing to help others understand. I used to see it all the time on various threads. Or maybe I'm wrong.

But 97% of the time English was the spoken language. Africaans was about 2% and 1% was African, and other.

That's a interesting argument anyway, since international WG sites don't give a fuck whether you understand or not, as was my experience in Amsterdam, Assland.

Anyways, Punani and Money is the universal languages that everybody understands.
