Sorry to hear about this, I can tell you that the temporaty ID will cost you 70 bucks, you will need 2 photos, but applying for your ID in Cape Town won't work as it will take a month or so to be ready and will be sent to your location of application.

Meanwhile, the Temporary ID is given to you on the spot and you are very much so allowed to travel with it when traveling within South Africa.

Bear in mind that the queues are ROUGH... If you say that your ID was stolen (which you should as they do something in the system for your identity not to be stolen) then you have to present an affidavit stating that it was stolen so be sure to drop by the police station before Home Affairs.

Hope this helps, but as someone else stated, the easiest thing would be to courier your passport, along with your passport, drop by your bank to get a temporary card also given on the spot so that at least you are financially chilled.. Take care

Best,

E

Will it help if my son send me a copy of my Passport?

Let your son courier a certified copy if you dont want him sending the original
I have very successfully send a package through Pep stores to the person's nearest pep stores. R100 for 3 day delivery

Really at a loss for words.... I know this happens in our beautiful country but to have this done by someone you called a friend?! I do understand what you say about forgiveness, but the sad part is that she is a friend to someone else as well.... or if she is a wg, punters are going to interact with her.... if you can't warn them on the site you need to at least go to the police and have it dealt with.... otherwise she might do it to someone else. I had to go and make a case against my own brother..... it was the hardest thing I had to do but I had no choice.... it's a vicious circle that needs to be broken.....

Please just remember we are there to support you all the way!

Love xxxxx

Sorry to hear this has happened to you. You dont deserve that!

Both Sweat and the Womens justice center helped me when I needed to lay charges against a club owner. Its about time we sent a message that just because we do this does not allow men the right to victimise us. They do this because they think we CANT go to the cops and that IS JUST NOT TRUE! PLEASE LAY CHARGES AGAINST THIS PIECE OF SHIT - especially if he assaulted you. He will kill the next girl.

I hope you get through this and come out the other side stronger!

Sorry Victoria your rant does have some validity but not in this case. I suggest you read this thread again and you will find the perpetrator was a female, well-known to the victim.

Dear girls and punters...
Im lost for words... im a bit fragile and still recover... Kickass know the state im in... and he saw my pics...
I just want to say thank you out of my heart to each and everyone of you... its just a very very fucked up situation... the good part is... my Passport is on its way... Im a make up artist... so i can hide all my bruises... Cape Town treat me well... the only bad thing is how empty and hurt I feel at this moment knowing I was only good to this person... so I dont have to much to complaint about... life goes on...

For all the help from pm's... thank you... but ill work myself out of my situation... I really appreciate it but Ill never take advantage of good people... tomorrow they might need my support... thank you again...
