I use to suffer from a strange headache from childhood,But mine didnt only happen at night.it happened anytime,And my eyes will be on tears.i would even loose memory,i would forget everyone and everything at that moment.
if it striked me standing i would just fail on the floor,And if it happened when I am with people who didn't know.they will think i was dead,or i would go blind.sometimes my eyes would be swollen, actually thats how my mother dead of.so all my family thought I was gonna die same as my mom, everytime it happened i would faint.and when I woke up I didn't remember anything, later it started to affect even my spinal code.
But honestly I dont know how it stopped,it stopped 9 years back.thank God that was a terrible experience ever

Thanks for all the advice. I have made contact with the headache clinic. Will see how that pens out. I chucked away the Trepalline pills I got months ago as I felt like a zombie after I took them. I'm currently regretting why I did that.

I know this is not a medical forum. And it's notpunti related but maybe my helper might possibly be on this site.

If there are doctors or specialists on the forum please advice.

I have this problem " I'm usually woken up by this pounding headache that's always on the left side of the head. It feels like my left ear is tearing open and the eyeball is about to explode. Usually my left eye has tears flowing like the river nile. I usually take 2 to 3 suchets of grandpa for which I feel like it's just a psych thing as I feel like it doesn't work, I usually end up passing out. My blood pressure is ok. BMI is about 28. Just like most people I hate my job but I'm not depressed/stressed. I don't abuse any substance.

I have seen quite a number of GP's, one even did bloods but nothing ever came out of it. I was even made to check my diet that something might be a trigger and it hasn't helped. Even when I'm drunk, these headaches get me to a sober state in seconds. They come and go, it's approx 6 yrs or more that I'm leaving with these headaches.

If anyone can possibly help please pm a brother. I can do with the help.

1. Is the pain on the side you are lying?

2. Do you suffer from a lot of heart burn?

Have your mastoid(sp) bone checked, if it is infected similar symptoms occour. A small operation will solve the issue

Just stating the obvious, but I don't see it mentioned so just in case.
Only a specialist can order a brain scan. So start there, don't just book one.
Also if the headaches are specifically waking you up at night, skip the ophthalmologist and either see a neuro or go straight to casualty.
No need to panic but waking up from sleep is sometimes a stong indication.

I like sleeping on my right side or face down.

And no I don't really suffer from heart burn.

They don't just wake me up, they also literally sober me up if I'm drunk.
