What you are suggesting is that i run at a loss as i still need to pay bank charges on each transaction. Most place do charge 10% on credit cards transactions to cover bank charges.

Not at all. Im merely suggesting you reach an uneven number. So if you want, charge an extra R100 above your usual rate for the convenience of a card facility, and THEN subtract 1.8%.
R1100 = R1080.20

With that said I have done all my homework and have decided that Payfast will be the best way to go.
It is secure for both the buyer and the seller ;)
Further more it is a cheaper option and i dont need to add 10% 5 will do ;)
Further more i dont have to purchased a card machine it can be done online.

You have many options here, with the option to pay over time for the machine. Read a bit on it and see from there, many options available.
