When we exposed ptaboer,ESA wanted him to contact them before even considering banning him eventhough we as Advertisers provided proof of his lies and malicious nature. I knowingly broke a rule and refused to pay the fine because I will not be made to apologize for standing up for myself or protecting the people I care about. Ptadoos wasn't even a gold member or a long standing member. He got offered a chance to explain himself.

This is the last I will say on this banning issue as with so many things on this site it becomes circular very quickly.

Does this fall outside this Rule?
Surely if SP's are no longer on this site and their names are constantly being bumped on some threads it should be deemed unfair to current/active Sp's?

I'm certainly not defending MartinM for breaking any rules here, but there are some valid points raised in the comments since his banning. I have been banned on a few occasions as well, for very minor language transgressions and once for a misunderstanding, and the most frustrating thing, from a PUNTER's perspective (especially as an active forum participant) is that the ban just happens. There is no forewarning or even a PM to say, 'Dear Silverwolf, you have been banned for A, B, C. In order to lift the ban, please donate x-amount to x-charity, or alternatively your ban will be lifted in x-days). Instead, you just find that you suddenly can't log in, and are like WTF?

I know that ESA stipulates that they don't have time to message every punter they ban because this is a 'free' site, but at the very least message the Gold Members who paid for the month? It can be a generic copy/paste message and doesn't have to be a lot of PT. Will speed up the process a little, and probably make Admin's lives easier in the long run?

And in reality we are all human and may 'forget' things sometimes, so perhaps just a stern WARNING before a banning, and then delete the offending post? You will probably find that solves the problem right there and then, without any of the drama.
