I've been watching this programme called Strange Addictions where they broadcast individuals with funny and yes very strange addictions to many things besides sex.

Here's a few examples

1. A young lady addicted to drinking nail polish.

2. A young guy addicted to his car but get this; he wanks to it, french kisses it, caresses it at any given time. The most brilliant part is the car is named after a guys name.

3. This young man addicted to plucking out dirt from drains. As soon as he gets out all that hair full of scum he feels so good.

4. A young woman eating chalk from the walls. Her house, her friends house hell anywhere she finds chalk. So many holes in the house. The human chalk termite...*facepalm*

5. A young woman sniffing on Baby Powder. Scoops of spoons in a bowl everyday, just sniffing in large amounts. Because she can't smell a bit of it so she needs to even shove it down her nostrils.

6. This guy addicted to cycling, he cycles longer than normal cyclists. He doesn't sleep most days. He just loves that adrenaline rush.

7. This woman plucking her ear with any sharp object that can dig into the ear. Small scissors, tweezers etc. Just so she feels satisfied that all dirt is out.

8. An older woman sniffing on gasoline. She had bottles all over her house. Whenever she doesn't sniff she doesn't feel normal.

There are many others and all go through the same emotional trauma but feel happy until someone tries to help after they've confessed to their loved ones.

Are these more than sex/is it equivalent to sex or is it just a strange addiction? Anybody know of people with strange addictions?

I know eating clay is a common one.
