Reminds me of my own sorry tale from a few years ago which I shared on the forum. Was a very popular ESA eastrand WG at the time. Sad story of no money, no food, was gonna lose her home etc. Luckily I didnt give too much, was probably about R2800. But I just happened to stumble across her FB page a few days later, where she posted pics of them partying it up like motherfuckers! Lol! Never again. Besides I have a pet hate of visiting WGs who have bf's and husbands.

There use to be meetings arranged, similar to the AA meetings I attend, but after the third suicide we decided to rather stop it.
It was heartbreaking the stories we heard about lust and love and visions of riding off into the sunset and swooping in on your white horse called Fleur saving the lady from her perceived dragons and the white picket fence houses that all crumbled before the cold realistic light of day and the sickening feeling of realising that you have been had, some more than once.

Most cases such as this...start with an emotional decision.
This is an unfortunate trait of human nature.
People that are masters of emotional blackmail, you will find,are usually those that cannot get themselves to live within their means.

A few months ago a lady from ESA asked me for R150K loan becoz she wanted to start ornamental/exotic fish shop. She wanted to import and sell little Nemos to aquarium enthusiasts. I asked her for a Business Plan etc but she couldn't produce one so I told her no can do. I noticed she has since left ESA and I'm wondering if some sucker out there actually invested blindly in her dream.
