I typically make sure I don't use the company internet when I'm on ESA or the same type of sites but I stuffed up yesterday and my company fired me. I guess it was a easy way for them to cut costs cos we been losing sales with covid.

If true, I feel for you. I got called in by my manager when I was still working for a company one morning and he asked me WTF am I doing on all those prom site with my company laptop. Just made some lame excuses and got away with it then without a scratch.

SHit sorry dude, seems a bit extreme however as you said if they where looking for a stick to beat you with you have given them the stick.

so looks like i got a bit of life line. i'll be able to continue working as a temp staffer for a while. basically while they find someone else.
