MTN usually doesn't have signal with loadshedding,for some strange reason.
I'm Vodacom,never had issues. Plus uncapped wifi also helps...

Get a rechargable mobile router, power bank to backup, and a SIM from each network which you can load data bundles on. You can choose whichever network that is up during loadshedding and still do WhatsApp calls at least toll continue with bookings.
