How telling the selfishness of humans lending itself to the further degradation of humanity, humaneness and humanness.
The sickness of hypocrisy and "me, myself and i"...the minute ones own sorry ass is on the line a sure bet, with great fervour to preserve, fight and challenge anything and everything...even ones own closest and dearest.

A marvel it is at the surety of believing every word written, every word said, the claim that it is 100% gospel and nothing else goes fighting tooth and nail, abrasive and LOUD, opinionated and DEMANDING....!!!!!

....yet...

when it comes to matters that have led us to this present doorstep, meekly and mildly, take a step back, and natter something inaudible that there is no proof nor stats that their actions and those before them and those to come , have anything to do with the life threatening situations all humans find themselves in ....for sure as the breath one takes...this fine earth has been raped and looted, with our blessing and, the natural checks and balances are gone.

How sad when energies and opinions and actions are required to promote the fight against carbon emissions , poverty and overpopulation, an application for long term sustainable programmes, education...creating a base for humanity sounder , healthier, stronger to face any further adversities and threats for future generations....THAT fervour and zest is a shade pale and muffled.

Is it too abstract? Not considered a direct threat to self and lineage? Too demanding and takes up too much of ones time and energy to research and understand? Asks for one to reach into ones pocket not directly for self BUT, for others to benefit? Asks for different choices to be made that affect ones creature comforts and drive for materialistic ownership?...not understood, beyond grasp and intellect of most...?

Money does make the world go round and drives opinions and choices. What would the global economy be if there were no wars, no sicknesses.

There would be no mighty rich and tragic poor if humans didn't know to be selfishly self-centred, their personal preservation coming before others, and guiltily defending their choices feeling self righteous that they are doing something right to look after others.

And....those sitting in the most powerful seats puppeteering all and sundry understand the psychology of fear banking on the divide, creating further segregation among all....faster go the production lines, deeper become the pockets.

How smug we feel in our stupidity and laziness and excuses claiming to be well informed and of higher understanding, at each others throats at the drop of a pin , the most powerful keeping us exactly where they want us to be...scrambling and lining up to pay for the next new, next life saver, next faster, next ..."control gadget".

One has to wonder how many people have even considered or cared to calculate their own carbon footprint...or is that just a "waste" of time?...and not a responsible and educated choice?

our very existence a guaranteed combusting
what a stupid question...how i wish i was wrong
i cry for i know we humans on earth should fuck off for, we do not belong.
lustful and egotistical in all we look at and touch
never enough always wanting tooooo much
dear Universe above me let it not be too late
please help and teach us to be less self-centred and change this planets fate.

criminality, deceit vehemently ...fight!

why does my heart know to beat so strong,
belong...
bask in the glory of goodness, its rewards prolong.
is it fear,
that makes me adhere...
of questionable situations stay clear.......

oh!... let me drop this cloak of prissy hypocrisy!
for the reign of democracy
be a true pornocracy!
prostituted be each thought
by the best bidder caught...
no longer the dire repercussions fought
for the ego recognition has sort
and thus, no matter good or bad, the mind be taught
to choose selfishly...with guilt... each action fraught.

CS Lewis used to be a prescribed book for English at University.

Heavy reading and will most definitely go above the heads of many. A sort of philosophising that many would sadly label "empty words"....great read.
