So much to do there bud...so much, I really don't know where to start!
Anyways...
Umhlanga Rocks:
Leisure: Safe beaches, lots of security. You can enjoy long walks. Really very relaxing, however stay away from the fisherman...for some reason they think that upcountry folks always jinx their catch of the day...You know the stories of the one that got away...that's their reasoning behind the tales.
Food: Plenty restaurants, from Japanese to Chinese to steak houses to Indian cuisine. Just avoid the Indian places with Pakistani cooks...too much turmeric...eat that bunny and you spend a week cleaning that yellow stains under your fingernails.

Umhlanga Ridge:
Leisure: well not much...unless you a mall rat...then Gateway will do.
Also there's' the new ARCH, that everyone is raving about...but that will fade, as soon as the special offers' end.
Check out the new BMW dealership...I've heard that cars are hanging from the ceiling and all...eish...What next?
Food: Well the usual take away brands, like Mackie D's & Vimpy...yes it's pronounced like that, although the word starts with a "W".
Careful, if you do not like loud noises, rather get a set of ear plugs...those rich bastards' like to play loud music, and rev those V8 engines, and drive around aimlessly round and round that so called "Piazza"...just a fuckin large traffic circle, if you ask me!

Note: Carry an umbrella and a light windbreaker...lots of rain at this time of the year, and the wind can be a bit strong too.
AND don't ask the locals "how's the weather"...26 degrees C...is considered "freezing" there!

I hope this helps...enjoy your stay.

@ semensquiter thanks bud really informative. Reason for the visit was actually to pick up one of those hanging Bmw's quite impressive if I may add. Didn't have the time to visit the fisherman as it was quite a quicky trip. Enjoyed the rainy weather made awesome bmw weather.

Really appreciate the humor your listing for one of the sp on point.

Don't mind the age factor I guess we all going that path. Remember your matured so understandable if your have to read things twice.

Thanks once again for your constructive listings hope you have you specs on.
