Got to agree that it is most annoying to be told extras can be discussed in the room. I will not visit anyone who takes this approach. I don't see a problem with when venue doesn't want to negotiate extras on the provider's behalf. You simply contact the provider directly - I see "discuss extra's in the room" as a poorly expressed "extra's are between you and the lady, don't involve the house in your negotiations".

An I have paid R1.5K for extras once or twice, but the ask and the fee were not unaligned, if you get my meaning - no ways I'm dropping an extra 15 blue ones on a vanilla bonk.
