Hi All, please advise what are my rights when a SP cancels at the last minute.I confirmed our booking, then booked a hotel room. The time of our booking she sends a voice note to say can't make it.

Unfortunately, you have a right to report here and warn the rest.

Other than that you can't do anything :(

You can name and shame, and that's about it. If you are really lucky an enterprising lady will DM you and promise to kiss it better. :)

It is crap.
But at least she was polite enough to cancel. There are plenty of ladies who would not even bother, it happens all the time.

Just so that there's is no confusion....when a client calls and cancels at the last moment, for whatever reason, it's ok and we move on....but when a WG calls and cancels, it's a crime..... LoL

Funny

Ps
I just cancelled at the last moment with a client... because of an emergency...and refunded him his money he paid for travel fees...

Just saying
We're all human

So let me get this right from my observations. There are always three sides to a story.

POV from Lady: If the Lady cancels the booking at the last minute, its ok, because maybe she has another booking with a more important than you client. Client might have even driven half way, if not almost there. Maybe its her time of the month, some complication or the other. Thats ok and acceptable right, sometimes maybe not for the Client, they might go an put a comment on her profile, or not?

POV from the Client: If the Client cancels the booking at the last minute, its ok, because maybe he had a fender bender on the way, got scared at the gates because its his first time. Felt guilty because his partner sent him a cute reassuring message that he is appreciated. Meanwhile the lady spent hours getting ready, finding the right outfit, tidying the place up from the last client, doing her hair and makeup for the client who booked in advance. Thats also ok and acceptable right, sometimes maybe not for the Lady providing the service. He should be reported as a time waster, a non pitch... or not?

POV from the actual truth: What we need to realise is the difference between an excuse and genuine circumstance.
Do you forgive and let slide an excuse?
Do you understand with compassion and empathy the genuine circumstances?

Everyone makes mistakes, because we are all human. What matters is how we take accountability and make amends for those mistakes. Nothing wrong with rescheduling, re-prioritising what more important if you need to. At least be honest and maybe you can strengthen the relationship.
