Not so sure about that RB. Yes, I'm sure they would want to fix the marriage, but surely something was broken before they started punting. And in most instances its two sided. But after being caught, the guy will be judged as the 'the offender' and the one to change. Which isn't really fixing.

Interesting statement by the OP, 'see you in a year or two'. Almost a realization (and I'm not speaking for him) that things won't change. He just needs to be good for awhile to regain trust. Restore her bubble, at his expense, before allowing himself to take care of himself; and be more cautious in future.

I suspect many of us are in this boat. We don't leave our wives because they are extremely important to us; but we also have sexual desires. Many would have tried to resolve such, with no avail.

Taking vows of celibacy didn't work for the priesthood. It just created monsters, and it certainly won't work in marriage. But will a woman have an open marriage, allowing her husband to have his needs satisfied (if she can't or is not willing) elsewhere. I think for women, that's not possible, to share ..., but let me not think for women, lol

True; Wifey is important but I'm personally more concerned about how getting caught out affects my kids perception of me (I always want to be their example, 1st point of contact for advice / opinion, etc.) - it's not as if they can understand that their mom doesn't care about daddy's cookie needs - People also don't leave because of what a colossal screw up separation / divorce is

It is a strange world where the wife has no interest in her husband sexually yet it is a life changing trauma if he then gets it elsewhere.

Dude I got caught twice in two weeks, hence why there is no fingerprint biometrics for opening my phone!
