I can only speak for one of my regulars. I was her regular for five years and then last year suddenly got a message saying that she is leaving the industry.

I still have her private number and regularly see her status updates.

She met this most amazing guy who absolutely dotes over her and her kid.

As I type this I had just seen her latest status update announcing their wedding date.

I am genuinely happy for her as she is a fantastic person and to be honest, the type of woman anyone would want as a wife.

Now this is a very dream come true. See dreams and wishes can come true if you have the right guy and girl together.

Someday I hope this happens to me

There is a wonderful lady I know who has retired from the industry because she found love - love she was NOT looking for and quite frankly, didn't need either.

She was loved by many for being genuine, sincere, warm, kind, nurturing, accepting of all and open minded. She was an agony aunt to many, a friend, a mother to those of us who lost our moms and just overall a decent human being.

She has retired and is happy - she is in a beautiful and healthy committed relationship. She may not be as financially well off as she was in the industry, but she is flourishing.

The universe has a way of navigating us where we need to be, when we need to be there - things shift and change when it's meant to happen and no matter what happens, there is no right or wrong but always an opportunity for growth and personal development of some sort.

I'm no different to any other person just because I'm in this line of work - I catch feelings too, I get hurt, I love, I enjoy being thought of in the small ways and it is not always transactional. You know those simple things like it's been a long week, you've been under a lot more pressure so I did x, y and z to help with the load.

We all want to be seen and to be appreciated - isn't that why most book us? It's not just sexual. Anyone can have sex, even mind blowing sex - but how often are we truly appreciated and valued?

Life is an ebb and flow which is what makes it beautiful. Success stories of any kind are often birthed in the most peculiar places

Some of the most genuine and most intelligent ladies I've met are from the industry.

I have been punting for over 27 years now and know of two ladies who had their happy ever afters. Around 2019 I bumped into one of the ladies at a supermarket, a regular of mine in the late 90s, still married to her guy and with three kids. The guy was pretty friendly toward me and they both looked really happy together still.

So yes, the Pretty Woman scenario does exist.

Unfortunately, just like the movie with the altered feel good ending, this post reflects our romantic fantasies.

Not to be downer, but unfortunately I am a realist...

The original script for pretty woman was called "3000", the amount of money spend by Edward to procure Vivian's services. And the ending was pretty dark. Basically he just through the money at her, ditched her, she and a friend went on a party spree and she died of an overdose. Something like that.

It was supposedly meant to highlight how the rich misuse the poor using the prostitute scene in Hollywood. But Hollywood turned it into a fairy tale romance. Fairy tales sell better, and this one sold off the charts ...

This warms my heart. It is possible, as long as there is honesty, trust, respect in the relationship. If you both put your mind together at something imagine what you can achieve

I should have mentioned that this is not an everyday occurrence where punters find true love in the purple world, it is absolutely very rare BUT it does happen. As I mentioned I only know of two such instances from close to 30 years of punting.

Only if the boss posts a review and give a "5" rating.
Fuck the Xmas bonus...that 5 rating is the game changer!
