Importantly, don't expect a wife to behave like a girlfriend. When you a sure thing, you a sure thing (revel in that, is that not you what you wanted, to be someones comfort and security, but not necessarily having to buy her a house and raise her kids). But she still has bills to pay, so yes she will work harder on the unsecured business, and when she is with you she'll probably just want to rest in your arms.

Naturally this is an agreement that one would enter into after 1 or 2 dates (just like making her your girlfriend) - after getting to know and seeing whether you actually like them.

I'm lucky to have 2 of such lovers in my life, though each agreement is somewhat different. One of whom works 10 mins away from my apartment, who usually comes through for 30mins or so, a few times a week.. versus the other, who usially likes longer dinner dates whenever he's in town - our payment agreement is open ended, meaning i don't charge him per date or per hour, he simply helps me out with whatever I need between bookings.

All that is to say, if you like someone / are compatible and enjoy each other's company, there's no reason why agreements of sort can't be a norm. It takes trust and willingness to accomodate / empathise with one another though
