there are multiple data points including location, the sites you both visit, etc so this very likely not a coincidence but there isn't much reason to worry, it's automated there is no one who is actually watching you

As mentioned - websites uses cookies, and not the nice kind, which collects gathers information/metrics. This is all fed into the belly of the internet beast. This information is then used for all purposes like target advertising, people matching etc.

The little bugger of an internet was sharp enough to match this information from your burner phone to you and made the suggestion. Certainly not a coincidence- it was working as designed, perhaps too well..

Just ignore it on your "real phone" or decline the suggestions and the internet monster will think it made a mistake and back off eventually.

The thing to remember is everything is connected. Should you be concerned about this, get a VPN for your burner phone...

In this case it's also worth noting that all of Whatsapp, Instagram and Facebook are owned by the same company, so they already know who you are across multiple devices and platforms.
It's getting harder and harder to prevent being tracked.
Our last resort is to lock all our profiles down - set all your accounts to visible only to friends, and noone can mention, tag, comment or post on your timelines without you previewing and approving
