If you suspected a colleague or family member (in law or blood related) is a punter, how would you approach them or ask them about it? Without giving away that you punt as well.
If they're punters as well, you can go on adventures together, but if they're not it may be awkward from then on.
How would you approach it?
PS i didn't say friends, because that's an easier conversation i imagine.

I wouldn't approach them. It's none of my business and isn't worth risking the awkwardness.

Why do you want to know, punting is what we do in private, I will definitely not approach the just I would not appreciate if one of my "Family" members approach me.

I don't mean going and asking straight out if they punt. Maybe a keyphrase that only punters would know, but still doesn't seem out of place in the real world.

Like others have said, I wouldn't... unless I have fair suspicion.
If you really want to go, then I don't suggest trying to go in all innocent while trying to get them to admit to it. That's not cool. Easier to say you do and what about you but that might be a bit much.
So maybe try "have you ever?..." Or "once when I was younger..." These phrases have allowed me to find many punters that are not in ESA but serious punters out there. What's better is we even do actually punt together sometimes as well as share notes, contacts, wgs etc which has led to my finding great wgs I wouldn't have otherwise and some fun punting outings with people I actually know and can pretty much trust "since we're in this together" over random people I meet on a website.
Edit: alcohol stories is usually a good icebreaker.

Easy. If you can talk to them about sex then punting stories are bound to come up at some point during a few cold ones.
I actually go out to strip clubs with my brothers and my brother in law. And we all discovered that we share this hobby over drinks.

@N4P noted. I think most guys are probably cool with it,but you can never be to sure. I'll probably use the when i was younger as opposed to have you ever.
