Where do you guys keep these? I keep mine in the car, and I know some guys keep it at work, however I always think if something had to happen to you (God forbid) surely they will find the phone in your car or work will hand it over with all your belongings. Even if the phone is locked or off, it can still be opened, or at the very least create some negative suspicion with your family as to why you had two phones.

What are your thoughts to get over this problem? Some guys it could be explained as a business or work phone, but not all can get away with that. Interested to hear your thoughts / solutions.

Married guys problems.

Just password protect the phone boss.
Hide it under your sparewheel. If you should die inexpectedly the wife will move on and find a new husband anyway.

I keep mine in the car boot, it also gives me a little piece of mind that if I ever get hijacked and shoved in the boot I will be able to call for help, it's also my excuse if my wife ever finds it, two birds one stone baby

Well, if you die, you won't hear the wife swearing you about the other phone and the life insurance payout will quickly make her forget about it.

My worry is it being found while I'm still alive so throw away SIM cards are my option and the phone is in plain site. The SIM cards change due to bad signal or better rates elsewhere

Thats a befokte idea! Never thought of the phone helping in such a highjack scenario. Im leaving my punting cell from now on under the boot rug.

@Longjon, you just had to put a damper on the boot idea hey...lol
I still think though that the boot is a good idea. In Ireland they don't have highjackings like they do here.

Maybe go to cellphone shop with wife and get a second phone for each of you. Then tell her to put it in her car's boot, just in case she needs it one day in an emergency. Let her see you put your second phone in your boot as well. That way she will know you have phone in boot, but won't be suspicious about it, as she will also have one in her boot. I think a plan like that can work, provided you clear call and text history daily, just to be on the safe side.

So it will be like an emergency preparedness thing. To make it more believable, you can put a cooler box with water and some MRE's in both your cars boots as well. hehe
