I use mukuru Mike Hope but lam not in Joburg .@Kickass mukuru is a money transfer provider in Africa and here in SA is normally used by us non South Africans and its sponsored by standard bank .
I like to know things .. ans if i dont know i so want to learn .this is what i found;)
Makuru- Money card.. cash send app supported by standardbank.. ( it aint a bank account)
Money can be drawn at shoprite and checkers and standardbank atms with the makuru money card or a 5 digit pin.
Supported in many countries already..
Angola. Bangladesh. Botswana. Burundi. Cameroon. DRC. eSwatini. European Union. Kenya. Lesotho. Malawi. Mozambique. Pakistan. Uganda. United Kingdom. United States. Zambia. Zimbabwe.South Africa...
Which would make this an easy and relatively secure way to recieve money from other countries for online content or deposits or to send money to family members that aint in SA but in one of the other supporting countries, without high bank charges or long wait periods for foreign deposits to clear.
Exactly so from outside SA you just go to a Mukuru outlet and deposit cash and then the receiver collects cash the other end.
Unless any body wants Zig its about the only way we can get money out now save driving over the border with cash
Mukuru enables customers to move money around the world. Whether sending money home for school fees, the purchasing of seeds and farming equipment, hospital bills, rent, or groceries. Mukuru is available at any PEP, PEP Home or PEP Cell store.
