One of the biggest misconceptions to exist in the history of politics.

The IEC debunked this myth in 2019 already.

Unless she meant to say that, citizens that don't vote, are somehow benefitting the ruling party. But to say their votes automatically go to the ruling party is incorrect.

Moral of the story is - place your vote, no matter how insignificant you think the outcome will be. We might actually be pleasantly surprised by the outcome if we ALL utilised our right to vote!

As South Africans, the one thing we all have in common is hope for a better future. Instead of debating the minutiae of how useless it is to vote, practicing our due diligence as citizens is important for that first step to a better future.

I bet you that many people did not even know this and instead ran with the idea because they heard someone else say it first.

NHI may be the South African version of the Zim land grab...
Quick descend from here.

As has been said and all who have at least two braincells will know it to be true.

A simple PR exercise before the elections.

The NHI Bill and the BELA Bill has been in the news for ages yet, how many know the implications if these bills be passed through legislature and its impact on civil society.

Some time back on one of my posts I made reference to Discoveries research as to the funds required to implement the NHI Bill.

At present moment the budget for Healthcare has been estimated at 223 Billion rand ( and the healthcare system is failing !?!?!?!?!) and Discovery says that approximately 680 Billion rand is required to.implement NHI.

It translates to an additinal R1 575.00 tax per month from tax payers making it R18780.00 per year OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY- quoted.

In 1994 the dawn of democracy inherited a healthcare infrastructure that was comparable to the best in the world, nurses and doctors that any country welcomed from South Africa, in the forefront of medical procedures and pioneers in the medical field...and now 30 plus years into democracy....to hospitals standing dilapidated and empty ghost town structures, those hospitals that are working more like hell holes infested with fatal diseases, hospital staff rude and bogus doctors , Healthcare budgets looted enriching ministers and their families and their cadres in the health ministry.

The truth of the matter is that the looting , non maintenance, thievery of yearly budgets for Healthcare are the reason the most needy and poor are suffering.

NOT because they have no access to Healthcare.

Education just like Healthcare has become a farce and the one that are suffering are the misinformed, lied to and deceived and WILL once again vote for the treasonous anc and eff who claims land brings dignity without mention that 60% of the land is mainly owned by the government, the anc and ontop of that best there be jobs so people can earn monies to maintain and pay for that land...unless of course malema doesnt expect the people of SA to live in anything better than a shack with no latrines or fresh water while he is living in palatial splendor.

Politicking by the dirtiest of politicians NOT to be in servitude to the people of SA BUT, rather to further rape and loot the people's money. TAX MONEY , for their own personal benefit.

I wonder how many South Africans actually understand that it is THEM that are paying the salaries of the incompetent deceitful corrupt thieving government.

I wonder how many know what KPI stands for and why it should not be any differently applied as is in any workspace where one is employed and does not matter what ones designation or title is.

100% that the non vote DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY go to the "ruling party" BUT, it might as well.

Here is an example.

Attending a public meeting in Durban called by Chris Pappas DA Umgeni Mayor, he relayed how the DA came to be the governing party of the midlands and surrounding.....now one of the best municipalities, debt free and growing exponentially FOR THE COMMUNITY. (and no , not tryna punt the DA. A statement of fact for all to do their research)

Long story short .....it took FORTY NINE...
49.... VOTES to realise what is the reality of the Umgeni municipality today

A classroom has more than 49 kids in it of late.

And thus..

Those that say their vote means nothing...it takes ONE vote to swing in the favor of a stronger economy ,ONE vote to favor those that understand the duties of citizenship, ONE vote to secure good governance, ONE vote to realise the promise of a better future and equality for all.

And that ONE vote could be yours.

RB.

RB is 100% correct. A non-vote does not automatically go to the ruling party, but not voting means you cannot effect change as other parties need your vote to come into power.

It's the age old saying. Strength comes in numbers.
2 x 2 = 4
4 x 4 = 16 and so on.

If you DO NOT vote or vote for a party that has a history of being corrupt and or ineffective than you may not later say you are a victim for in fact you are an accomplice
