....and if u believe so strongly in that ...why then do u not make an effort to cast YOUR vote where it may matter instead of being a fatalistic and judge and blaming the system when you and many others may be to blame for the power the most vile have?

Addendum...the fight for good is an ongoing thing and the most vile come to power simply because of the fence sitters...and that applies to all things in life....not just voting .

As an insider, I'm disillusioned about the value of politicians. It doesn't really matter who wins, nothing will change. Bureaucrats (like I was once was) run the country; a politician, a political party has no real authority. Not only in SA, but in every developed democracry. As every administration on the ANC has learnt in the past, when you come in to power all that will happen is that you will bump heads with the administration, and you'll eventual bow the knee.

But I do like the ANC, as a pretty face for the country.

The ANC has the best manifesto. Even my 15 year old son during the last elections studied all parties manifesto and came to the same conclusion. Unfortunately he decided not to vote in what would have been his first. I guess his heard and seen to many things in our home.

This year, the ANC really upped their level of democratic thinking making every other party look like babies. Even the blue party is just a copy paste of the best, with a few tweaks that shows their immaturity (as opposed to improved thinking, except for one aspect which I'm still pondering).

Nevertheless it really doesn't matter. Most of ANC policy was never implemented in the last 6 administration, due to the bureaucratic administration which actual favors blue policy.

So if you want to know why our economy is in a mess, it's because of the conservative administration. Not sure if ANC economic policy would make a difference. We've never tested it. But what we do know is the conservative approach is definitely not working.

BTW, the ANC is the only party that made an attempt to legalise sex work, only to hit the brick wall again. But never the less they tried.

And then let us not forget how this small little insignificant country had become the leader of the free world in the largest humanitarian crisis ever.

I certainly don't hope for a coalition government. It hasn't really worked anywhere. But then it doesn't really matter it just makes the administrations work harder. Besides, life is so boring right now, could definitely do with some chaos

So RB ... yah I forgot what I wanted to say.

Do vote, but be weary ...

Be weary of the blue,
The red,
The green,
And everyone to small to matter ...

Do consider the party that can't be confined to one colour ...

I prefer the reality that governance ain't a thing the anc cares to know about nor implement nor care to implement.

The butt of heads is more about which hand washes which hand as opposed to any beaurocratic bullshit.

I like this ...the "holy grail" that all political parties would wish to have on their side.

It would make them rethink their approach and where the sentiment lays.
