Sav, I've managed 3working houses before, I'm aware of the running costs. I've never taken 50%, not only was washing powder and stasoft part of my running costs I always had a maid.

My very 1st house was 1/3 split. 30 min was R300, 1hrs R450, which I took R100 & R150.
The ladies paid for their personal ads, bought their own condoms, lube etc. I paid for the house ads.

The house had a massage room where the oils, shower gels etc where from my own pocket. I paid for the massage add and the split remained the same

But then again, I was counting on my marketing skills to generate an income not from ripping girls off

Some of the venues I've worked at when I was very new to this industry ripped us off so badly. They took 50% plus levy everyday and we had to pay for our own ads( compulsory to have 3 ads) we also were forced to work ridiculous hours and we got fined for the most ridiculous things. If we didn't come to work for one day we would pay like r1500 fine. It was terrible!!

@ Savana as a independent mg I know what the costs are of oils and I completely agree with Naledi. Let's say for arguments sake the lady charges what I do for a 90 min session she does 4 of those and Manroe takes half Manroe has made 2 K from her in 1 day sorry bit that is not fair. As Meg said the lady is the one doing all the work. Need i make a list of expenses including oil prices for you. I will do it with pleasure. I could list the cheapest and most expensive oil, which so by the way would not be oil it would be a hypo alergenic non sented ointment that is meant for skin disorders such as eczema, psoriasis dry skin etc... and is non ithchy. Most houses/ladies tend to use technical oil not only because it is cheaper but also because it is not as thick as your more effective grapeseed or almond oil and the ones that do use grapeseed or almond oil mix it with technical oil. Should I carry on??? Even if you add essential oils to that list take into consideration that 3% in my experience would opt for essential oils the rest prefer something without a odour so they would last a good couple of month as only a few drops are needed to add to the carrier oil.

I for one would like to thank Monroe for creating this thread - hopefully some wg's and mg's are taking notes.

I am not condoning a 50% cut of fee, but this is my reasoning for saying its not all that bad.

Finding an experienced mentor to work with. (priceless)

I feel that Monroe's risk in THIS exercise FAR outweighs her fee.
What if this girl that takes up her offer turns out to succumb to drugs.
Starts stealing her stuff.
Starts inviting bad elements to deliver her fix.

I've seen so many venues with potential go down the drain due to all these risks...

I know that most WG want to eventually own a venue and semi retire.The risks are HUGE and if you don't have the right personality and backing, it will last for a few months only...

Over the years I have heard some horror stories of venue owners treatment of WG and from the top venues in Sandton and Bedfordview alike. And what is worse many of those running houses were in the game at one time or another.

But if you starting off, in any walk of life, you will be exploited, whether you a lawyer, civil eng, mechanic, plumber or WG. Unless you can afford the setup costs and have a reputation and clients to sustain those overheads you better off taking the punch in the nuts until you can comfortably go on your own.

@ SweatScorpio Since Manroe is already set up so she does not have to buy furnature nor does she need a deposit. If she were paying for the ladies add by all means.

Going on what was posted buy Monroe. She does not offer accommodation and neither does she offer to pay for the ladies adds.

What she does offer to pay is oils lets say her oils are 2000 a month which so by the way won't amount to 2K. Baby powder 500 if that. I'm not sure what wet wipes cost as I use a clean warm soapy cloth to wipe my clients down before they have a shower.
She also provides for cleaning so say she pays a domestic 3000 and Detergents 500. Also she has to pay rent which we will say is say 10K a month.

It leaves you with a total of 16200 a month. Now for the more serious sums.

I'm going to use my rates because if she were to charge less she would fall into the budget punt category and it wouldn't be worth her while. There are also ladies that do charge more but its pointless using their rates since I can make my point using my rates.

Let's say Manroe take 2500 on a busy day and she has 8 such days a month that gives you 20000 which already covers her monthly expenses + extra.

On a average day she takes 1500 she has 10 such days it leaves her with a total of 15000 for those 10 days.

On a quite day she takes 700 and if she has 7 such days that is a total of 4900

That is a total of 39900 that she's taking from the lady for 25 days work.

That leaves her with a profit of 23700. In my opinion this is extortion.

Also not only does the lady do all the work but if the client is difficult its the lady that deals with him not Manroe. The lady has to be there for her whole shift whatever it may be so she can't come and go when she pleases. As far as security goes maybe if its a place like Devine and GHQ you can say that security is not a issue but 2 ladies on their own what if Manroe is busy and the Lady has security issues? Or 2 guys come through together to see both the ladies the Ladies are over powered etc...
