Oh dear Fullmont, you do bring out the best in me or the worst in me ... it's just perspective, doesn't really matter. It is what it is.

The problem with a clever wuss is if everyone says don't do it, it will do it. How else would it know if it's just fear mongering, the figments of our collective imaginations, or truth ...

I'm sure many SPs on this site were raised with the common mantra of "Don't talk to strangers" and certainly "don't open the door to strangers"; yet everyday they do it for someone who just from their enquiry about services, would already be labeled as a sexual predator by many. However, these brave souls put their fear aside and open their doors. And allow you to cum inside.

In the same way that they don't label every horny punter as a sexual predator risking their lives (literally) by giving us their trust; we should also refrain from labelling SPs as predators and afford them *trust*!

Just to clear up one confusion in your thinking - "Survival of the friendliest", does not sit in contrast to "survival of the fittest". It *is* survival of the fittest. "Fittest" does not mean "the physically strongest" or "the one that would win in a fight", it means "the best adapted to its environment" - it doesn't matter what that adaption(s) is/are - it could be sharp teeth (like a tiger), it could mean being extra fat to survive the extreme cold and long periods with minimal food (like a walrus), it could be tasting horrible (like several insect species). "Friendliness" is just another adaption that allows dogs to thrive in their environment.

You are probably correct JP, but I think you missing the point.

Friendliness works both ways. Not only was it a strategy for wolves to employ (to survive), but humans also reciprocated (which probably was not necessary for survival); but they definitely better off as a result.

The moral - we could be mean, sharp toothed, bitter, have extra fat (thick skinned), etc to survive. Or we could just try to be friendly.

Not missing the point at all - Humans, being self-aware, can choose behavioural traits (at least to some extent) and being friendly might be advantageous, so choose that. Not disagreeing with that at all

But just correcting an error in your characterisation of how 'friendliness' fits in to a broader conceptualisation of evolution.

(Incidentally, there are several theories as to why/how a human bond to animals can be explained in evolutionary terms.)

And that, dearest JP, is a nice summation. Not that I havent heard everything else you said (agree or not irrelevant), this point stands out. Being aware and being able to choose, and hopefully choosing a more friendly approach as opposed to being aggressive ... imagine the change that would occur in just the small little space of this forum, where many gather with similar desires, goals and matching objectives.
