Hi there I am pretty good at these type of contracts

I would suggest you go small claims court
I think any amount less than R15000 or R10000 can be claimed Anyway you remain in that segment that can claim.
Also confirm if they are legally registered as a PI firm.
I would suggest you check your contract for T&C,s
I could advise you more but need more information.
Like was any service given, how long ago was this, did you sign a contract and what did it say about the total fees, service and cancellation of the contract.

Legally you have 2 issues here.
1. A civil claim via an attorney or small claims court where you can claim with costs + interest.
2.You can open a case of fraud with the SAPS,an attorney will advice, but the cops are really doff when it comes to fraud cases. You need to prove you were defrauded or you paid the money ``under false pretenses"(you were scammed). It will help if you can find other people that were scammed.
If you post the names and numbers,I would like to give them a call and suss them out.
I hate this kind of shit,I once jammed a guys hand in my car window and dragged him till he was breathless then broke his legs.
You are one of best I have spent time with and if if makes you feel better, dinners on me,your choice

Hi Mynx, 7 Arrows are a medium sized company I am familiar with as they manage the suburb armed response where I live. They will certainly not want bad publicity so even Facebook posts will help you.

You have the choice of fraud or theft charges, but my experience is that the police are more likely to move quickly on theft - suggest going that route as you are unlikely to end up taking this to trial anyway.

Finally, the governing body is a 3rd arrow you must shoot too. All the best!

My 2 cents, if it's not too late.

Go to the small claims court, unless you can find an attorney (with a proven track record) that will assist you for a minimum fee.

As for the fraud case - if it's a state prosecution, then it will drag for a long time, which I doubt you want. Those guys (NPA) are worse than the cops at getting things done, especially if there's no publicity attached to it or political affiliation.

Good luck!
