There's a doubles ad that I saw and I noticed that there's only a single ad for one of the members. Having read the freeloading rules I thought that that wasn't allowed. Just found it curious. I was checking because I wanted to inquire about one of the people, not both.

Used to be the case. But ESA just focuses on the bag now. It's a paid ad, so they'll take the money.

What do you gain from trying to "out" somebody, possibly taking food of their table.
