In criminal matters the test is whether it can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt whether a crime has been committed. As the owner of a website, it's s your site and even if you did not know, it will be enough to show that you should have known and therefore liable.

I just read the article....makes me sick. I'm based in KZN and most girls advertise here on the Red site and I do use it but man after reading this...that Red site should be taken down. They are as guilty.

Ok so we can all accept that she willingly and happily pimped out and sold her daughters (11 and 13) to men for sex but are apparently unwilling to imagine that she might have acquired a fake I'd for the oldest girl which would have made it seem, atleast on the face of things, to the photographer that the girl was 18?..

We don't know exactly what happened. She might have been the person on the pictures but would then let her daughters do the work. That part is not clear, but all the articles I've read on this says that both young girls were advertised online. But to come to your point, there's not a chance in hell that you can mistake an 11 year old or even a 13 year old for an 18 year old. In court the owner of the guesthouse said that they got concerned when she brought the young girls there.

So from an eye witness perspective it was clearly visible that they were underaged. Also, I don't think this woman was running a sophisticated operation with fake ID's etc, she was plain and simple pimping out her own daughters for money.

I keep coming back to this thread reading the comments and wondering how it was possible to pass off a 13 year old as 18..

And all i keep thinking of is latin dancers... makeup and clothing and posture and body language made most of those girls that competed in the Open world U14 championships look atleast 4 years older than the boys they where dancing with in the competitions.

People in general underestimate the level deception that can be achieved with makeup and clothing and "grooming" of young girls to act and walk and talk a certian way.

But that deception/illusion cant be maintained indefinitely, at some point when talking to her and standing face to face with her you must be able to tell she is much younger under all that than she seems to be at first glance.

I dont care what that guy says he knew but chose not to know.. and the mother she is evil af for doing this to her baby girls.

The question raised is how could those sites not have known if the girls really had adverts on there as it's alleged in court.

With regard to the accused, he is not saying he didn't know they were underaged, he is denying that he ever did anything with these girls.
