This is a generalization and cannot be said of all SP's who offer retainers..

I offer the same level of service to all clients whether they are paying full price, booking on a special or on a retainer.. I enjoy what I do and being naughty, so why would I spoil my own fun by offering a lesser service..

The most important thing when it also comes to a retainer is good communication. I just finished a retainer not so long ago. When we agreed to the retainer, we discussed how he wanted me to dress, how many times during the month we will see each other etc. Plus I spoiled him during the time with some photos.
Yes a monthly retainer can work well for both parties.
For me I like to meet in person and discuss everything face to face and come to a understanding.
Communication and honesty between parties is important.
If you can't communicate properly, you opening the door to drama.
Like one of our lovely ladies has said earlier. She is not your property because of the arrangement.

I always see my clients dressed up regular or not. Retainer or not they paying for a service and part of that service is me dressed up.

It only works if the SP is a real professional/enjoys the job which is very rare.

Otherwise what you get is an SP consciously or subconsciously dropping the level of her service because you paid already.

I had an SP on "retainer" that I practically had to beg for the coochie as soon as I entered the room because if I waited too long she'd either be drunk, high or asleep.

This was a chick that used to beg me for the D in our prior arrangements.

Also very valid points although enthusiasm and appearance can drop just by becoming a regular and them getting too comfortable. Punter thinks we like each other so perhaps we'll do more or at least get something more for being regular. Wg thinks he likes me so I can do less because he already likes me and just wants to be with me and hopefully he'll give me more because he likes me.

Different perspectives but that's how things transpire.

This here is a very prominent occurrence and I'm probably took to give it more from a wgs perspective because believe it or not, I talk to many of them personally. Since I haven't done a retainer to give the punters perspective exactly but being a punter, I obviously can understand it.

Chick sells a retainer will full intention to honur it and zero malice behind it, usually because she's in a pinch and needs the cash urgently. All good.

Scenario 1 that I've come across. Then comes the day the punter wants to book in advance but she has no other bookings and she tells him she's not working that day because she still has to pay the room fee etc so essentially she's not available. For her, it's a no brainer that she can't be going and paying room fees and Uber and dressing up and not making any money right (yes, they forget they made that money in advance and also that cost in advance). Her perspective is she's wasting money for nothing taking the booking and his perspective is she's not available and he already paid in advance.

Then let's say she tells him, she'll let him know when she's working so he can book.

But on to scenario 2.
Now she gets another paid booking which pays for the room so she can see him that day but before that she's constantly getting enquiries so she books all of them for that same day to maximize profit of the day and venue so she books 3 or 5 or whatever her limit is of other punters into the day before remembering the guys that bought the retainer and then she tells those guys that she's fully booked on that day when he asks. Her perspective is it's her business and money and she needs to make as much as she can so giving up a paying slot for a free one is nonsensical (yes, she thinks it's a freebie since she isn't going to be paid again for that slot but the next guy will). Punters perspective is she's not available even though he paid in advance.

These are not hypothetical scenarios, these are real life occurrences that have happened with popular wgs I know in person. And yes, I have tried to explain the punters perspective and told them to honour those bookings with some intent but they only see it from their perspective as explained above.

Surely a better way than paying upfront is to pay, say, 1.5-2 or 3k a month for a retainer.

That way you can get the booking.

She gets reliable income. He gets a little extra.
