When u win R100m, you're definitely guaranteed to take home at least R60m.

Why? Taxman will slash his part and the Gov will force you to donate to the poorest NGO and other struggling NGO's.

It's considered "leakage"... leak your wealth to others...

If money weren't an issue no one would be working. 99% of us only work so we can just survive.

There is a very low level of financial literacy in this country.

Apart from Sugar who gave a rational answer, other commenters have missed the gist of the question.

Forget about the lotto and taxman.

The question is: if money wasn't an issue; if you could start from scratch; if you were given a second chance in life, etc what career would you choose?

What are you passionate about and what type of work do you wish you were doing rather than this?

Sipping pina coladas at the beach is not a valid response.

Love how many people are concerned about tax. As if you have more money than god now and you'd only take R100m if you didn't have to pay the tax man.

Tax or no tax I would take the money and run. Give some to a charity of my choosing.

Maybe lock myself in the Twelve Apostles for the weekend with a WG of choice. Maybe a few WGs. Maybe none. Maybe I'd just pay my debts, take care of family and then disappear to a Carribean Island for a long while.

Ja I'd take the R100m x (1 - tax rate) and I'd drink some beer on a beach. 100%! Nothing fancy, beach hut, beer, books, music, a dog maybe and ofcourse a good woman.

Firstly i'd give back. At least R20m to various deserving charities. Then id go on a wild fucking and sucking binge. Then id dedicate my life to helping those less fortunate.

Repeat , no tax is payable !!
R100m x 100% is what you keep.
