I was wondering...
I went and got the things I needed for my home work today.
While I was walking to the shop this gentleman was sitting there with his little kid( a girl), think about 9/11 years of age in this cold.
Just greeting without asking anything.
I did notice them but though why is he doing this to that kid?!
Now me feeling really down today, and I miss my kids........as I walked past them again thinking, okey I haven't got much... but still for now a roof over my head and something to eat.
Done and got what I needed, and thought should I shouldn't I?
As I sit in my car I can see this people hasn't got the best but still have a welcoming smile to each and everyone that walks past.
Fuck and I'm thinking... people like us cant really afford giving our last and took my last to this gentleman and said.... I know we all haven't got it to bright in life( do some odd jobs, washing cars, doing gardens and scrubbing shops floors or just something.
He said mam, I do odd jobs but there's no work for us...( how true is that because I know with limited education you can only do so much)
What really pisses me off is all the so called rich people didn't even greet this kid and dad!
I hope tonight you have a warm bed to sleep on and a little something to eat...
Because o know what I spend on them wouldn't have been enough for my kids.
It's the honesty and motivation( not expecting anything back) in giving to the less fortunate that make the giving a true gift.

Our world really turned a blind eye to people in need!

Thank you Meg for adding that hope to their lives, I'm humbled. I'm sure by the end of the day, so much difference will be made. It shall be better...:)

The fact that you noticed and was heartfelt by that shared experience, you do deserve to be thanked on my part (personally) really!

I may at times see things in an unorthodox way as from personal experience my conscience does kick in on all corners. I'm always close to tears even to the most insanely disregarded detailed things. Basically I'm moved by so many little things that as human beings turn to amiss.

Your eye was full of light
Your whole body lit up
Your mind wondered
Your heart cared (even to the extent of feeling the hurt and turning it to joy)

So I thank you for being aware of your surroundings. It's a great trait to carry around. That is why I'm humbled by it. Again I cannot speak for everybody that doesn't give that little smile or something to anybody. But they did even under those conditions. That gentleman and the girl was also full of light. That's the hope that will keep them going. We all come from our mothers wombs and as a woman and a mother you felt that. So again thank you for that hope.

And oh even if I have a bad day, I never go to bed without seeing that one little smile that sure does go a long way less fortunate or not. Silver or gold I don't have but that spirit of hope is all of me that I can give . You gave what you could! That's a big deal! So thank you for sharing your experience.
