Reading a comment on one of the threads got me thinking...
This punter stated that he was single, no children and has been punting for x years.
He ended off that through it all he has become a very cynical person...etc.
So my question, does punting affect us negatively?
Obviously i am not talking of the negative effect on bank balance or the possible risk of std's, does it have a negative effect psychologically?

May lead to moderate-severe cynicism, giving less of yourself to your family, involuntarily comparing the punts with your partner/spouse, inability to "settle down" with one person, fuckups with time management, becoming a liar, never looking at a woman/ man with the same eyes......

It has the potential for negative effects; it's all a state of mind. You need to control how you participate and view punting. For me personally; it's just an occasional hedonistic indulgence, like having a good wank or massage.

I think every punter was already a cynic before calling his first punt.
But yes!, the more you do it the more cynic you become...

My take

I think for both genders, the fake sense of companionship. The problem with being able to buy affection or someone's time is never really having enough time being lonely to realise the importance of a meaningful relationship. At some age the punting I would assume gets old or not so appealing anymore and that is when you realise the real cost of it.

That becomes less of a danger when you are married though. With marriage though you unconsciously expect the same type of paid service or adoration from your wife as you get from someone you pay. No matter how emotionally disconnected one could claim to be from the act, I doubt it is possible to not have a sense of grandeur from continuously having different women treating you like a mini god.

Ive recently found out that punting is way better than having an affair. Spent so much on finding suitable venues for the side dish. And as the saying goes, you pay WG's because they will leave.

Side dish doesnt just leave. She texts at the most inopportune times, expects to be wined and dined and is 1 text away from getting you busted with the Mrs.

Rather punt and compartmentalise your external affairs. You pay as you go, no strings attached and are dealing with professionals.

Punting has a role to play in this world.

The more you punt the less of cynic one becomes I believe.

But, the question whether punting has psychological effects is interesting, becoz it's irrelevant in that every guy who pays for sex already had a sexual deviant streak before he started punting.

Indeed, and is cheaper. You don't lose 50% of your stuff.

Punting def effects you in some way or another.
Whenever I meet a woman the first thing I think about is what she would be like in bed.
If she's hot i often compare her physical looks to wgs I've been with
That look similar.

The positive effect punting has done is improved my confidence around woman.

I don't that has anything to do with punting. It's just a natural male response. Men are naturally wired to think about sex. Punter or not.
