[QUOTE;775070;julian] Think we should all try give ideas and brainstorm ways to save money.
There are definitely some very clever people on this site so I'm hoping we can may assist each other with hints tips etc
Even basic things like where to buy the cheapest groceries lol.

I have made a plan to try shop at Foodlovers every Wednesday as they seem to have a lot of bulk veggies etc on special.
Also found a place in Randburg where diesel is cheaper than normal.

Hey .. where in randburg is this place , thanks

Natasha check the Sasol Garage in Rosebank where the Minty's tyres is... cheapest diesel I know of and you don't need to go on a certain day at a certain time .. it's permanent!

@buzzy agreed it is always better to try make more money.
However there are limits to that unless I am prepared to work on Sundays etc which due to family am not prepared to do.

The BP garage in sundowner just off Malibongwe drive has cheaper diesel all week round.
Will get exact garage name next week.

Keep those tips coming

For the ladies with hair extensions: Instead of paying R5000 to R7000 for what they call "real human hair" only look great for 3 months anyway and damage your own hair... rather buy clip-ons for R100 a full set. I use 2 sets a month for only R200... just make sure your own hair color is the same... take it out at night or on weekends when your not working... it's sooooo worth it. @julian thats true and if your weekends are busy try more of a passive business. invest for dividends or invest in a business whereby you just get profits and not part of it daily.

Human nature will dictate that in tough economic climates most people scale back while others become more enterprising.

I personally see scaling back as the easy way out, if you have dreams and goals, nothing should stop you from achieving them regardless of climate.

1. Get rid of the weekend mentality. even if you have a job
2. You have one life, make the most of it, some phases will be easy and some phases will be hard roll with the punches and keep focused on your target
3. Move away from debt as soon as you can, sometimes it means a drastic life change but I'd rather keep in the black than keeping up with the Jones. You will be surprised at how the interest you pay actually amounts to another investment or that dream holiday or dream car.
4. The Universe doesn't give a fuck about you, you will be born and you will die, everything in between is your choice and based on your actions. That includes how you react to change good or bad. It ain't easy to push forward but you will always see the benefits of your efforts.
5. Failure is a given, you can decide how to move on from it.
6. Most important of all 'Someone's opinion is not your reality', get out there and get what you want.

1.) Earn more and spend less. Same analogy as losing weight. East less and shit more.

2.) Get a second job. Get a third job.

3.) Get rid of debt. Don't buy something unless it is absolutely necessary. Drugs as well.

4.) Market yourself. ABS. Always Be Selling.

5.) It is always about the money. No freebies. No spending time with a client that is not paid for in full. It is always in any case about the money and the peripheral benefits.

6.) Buy cheaper make-up. No need to use Estee

7.) Empty you wallet of coins in the evening and put it in a glass jar. You will be surprised after a month how much you can buy from that.

8.) Get a sugardaddy that can help pay. Make an arrangement for time spent and cover your fixed costs at least.

9.) Be available more often than not. If you are not available, you might miss that one call that can get you a regular.

10.) Look after your regulars. They are seeing you for a reason. And they are a fixed income, so don't fuck them around.

11.) Listen and implement good advice. Been down this road so many times. Give sound advice, and all you get back is an empty stare. What was the middle part again ? At that point I just shut up and leave.

12.) Get a boyfriend that has an actual job, not sitting around the house playing TV games and waiting for the "call". He is a waste of space. Kick him out and look for a better one.
You are better off with a blesser, at least he is bringing in money.

13.) Get a hospital plan. You are in a high risk environment where violence spills over very quickly. Our public health will ensure your untimely demise. You want good medical treatment.

14.) Don't get pregnant. You are in the fucking business, surely you heard about the revolutionary anti-baby device called a condom ? Another hungry mouth to feed in the ghetto of life ? You are already in a kak work situation, now you just made it 100 times worse. You hope, against all hope, that the father, who you probably caught, will step up. No, he won't. You will fend on your own. Poor child, blameless, until you start blaming him/her for all the shit in your life. Why do that to a little baby ? You can't even sort out your own shit ?

15.) Get off the drugs. Weed is a drug, the fact that they start legalising it is not an argument. It is a drug, and the gateway to further addiction.

16.) Start saving every day. For just around the corner is a fuckup waiting to happen. Then the frantic calls to clients : please please help... Not every day is a good payday, so save for that rainy day, for when the rain comes, it usually storms.

Hope this helps a little.

Cheers

PS : What was the middle part again ?

LOL
