I 100% agree with you, we as men an society are very quick to judge the ladies in the industry.

We don't know why you are here, don't understand your situation but still judge you.

I have said last week in a thread that I see you as bunch of beautyful ladies, brought here to make a living to support yourself, maybe a family. Doing it to give pleasure to a bunch of un-grateful men ready to judge you at the drop of a hat.

Coping with me and my demands for an hour is bad enough, cannot imagine you having to do it with 4 or 5 other guys as well.

Cannot be easy, and I do salute you and the rest of the ladies in the industry. For all the joy, fun and pleasure you do bring to our lifes.

More reason for us as punters. Treat the ladies with respect. If you can a gift no matter how small. Make them feel special. Because they are...its not easy to work in this world.

Life is just tough for us all, plenty have it bad, in and out of this industry. Just learn to roll with the punches and dont take it all too seriously

Try stressed out.... burnt out.... exhausted.... not all working girls drink, smoke or use and they try their best to put on a decent appearance everyday for guys like you to judge without understanding anything at all.

Couldn't agree more Ashleigh. And so many guys think sex is all we do and think abt. Even if some ladies use drugs and alcohol to make this more tolerable, people seems to be blind to people in their inner circle who do the same, non-sewxworkers. Just as many preppie moms abuse alcohol and drugs. En boer agteruit. I have watched several clients deteriorate too. Sexworkers are a small part of society and reflect the general goings-on of a larger societal picture.

I had a client who suggested I go back to working with children again. When I said I would probably make five grand a month, he said 'see, you'll be fine on that'.

I told him it is R1500 for levies, R500 for classes, R500 for electricity, petrol is R1000 and my classes are R750. That's before food, paying off my twelve grand vet bill (I have special need rescues) not to mention the carer I hire for my dog who had a stroke...

But I should leave the industry according to him for minimum wage. He then suggested I speak to the owner of a venue, have them close it down and made into a nursery school. I was dumbfounded by how out of touch he was with the reality of the world and kind of hurt that he thought it was all so easy and the only person stopping me is myself and not wanting to leave the industry.

So when guys feel sorry for girls and want to 'help' please don't suggest they become waitresses or carers etc. Maybe leave them a tip even a small one or bring them a lunch. I've had that when I haven't been able to get food and a gentleman brings me a chocolate or sandwich. The sentiment is wonderful. Or when you are with a lady don't poke fingers where they are clearly not comfortable or push boundaries.

I've been fairly 'lucky'. I haven't had horrid clients and working privately has been the best thing I've done in a long time. I choose who I want to see, I tell them on the phone not to see me if I feel uncomfortable and wish them the best.

Some girls aren't so lucky. Working 12 to 16 hour shifts with maybe only a couple of bookings in that time...

Rather than commenting on the deterioration of a girl (how does that help anyone?) rather not book and find someone else. If you want to make it easier for working girls, don't cancel bookings, don't mess around with phone calls, don't send dick picks. Respect the boundaries in the room. Maybe give a chocolate or a small gift or tip. You treat a girl well and she will Rock Your World!!!

That my darling is part of life. We all suffer that. It is common occurrence.

You cannot use that as an argument.

Drugs and alcohol are pervasive in this industry as a coping mechanism. At least 90 % in my personal opinion.

Having said that, I do sympathise with the situation that you and your ellow advertisers are in, but also accept that it is by choice, most of the times. If R 5,000-00 a month is not enough, then you need to work harder or cut costs. That is what we all do. The fact that I pay off my Porsche and my Rolex and my overseas holiday and my mansion wil not make me jump into hooking.

Cannot hide behind a facade of costs and then imply that the only job that will pay for it is hooking.
