I am extremely uncomfortable with racism, and with the "standards" remark. But I did speak with Paige on the phone, and she seems a genuinely kind person, and certainly showed loyalty and friendship to someone in trouble on the forum. Sometimes, we have to take into account the circumstances and life experiences of people, and if we think they are on the wrong side of an ethical or moral issue, help them and encourage them to cross back, if we believe in their essential goodness.

I may not agree with Paige on the implications inherent in her "standards" statement, but I also believe that she is a human being with life experiences we don't know about. Insulting her is never going to change anything; on the contrary, it can only serve to reinforce what you view as her racism.

I have to say this thread was most definitely the motivation I needed to quit this forum, been following it since the days of sally and lickalotpoes sagas and these guys pale in comparison. Like everything on this forum, the bravado will fade into oblivion, Veronica will be banned again this I have no doubt of and many will say it's because she is 'strong' and 'open minded' and is not shy to speak her mind. The reality is she is a veteran in this industry and knows exactly how to play the right tunes to keep everyone including other WG's hopping to her beat. Let it go dude it's not worth it.
