When cases of females infected in heterosexual relationships came to light the stigma attached was sexual promiscuity. Disease spread through sexual contact, body fluids, fecal matter have also had a stigma attached to them.

It is important for people to be concerned about infectious diseases and take precautions.

Cancer is not an infectious disease and therefore may not carry the same stigma as the other diseases such as HIV, Hepatitis. TB and various STI'S and STD'S.

Not entirely true hun... HPV is sexually transmitted and does indeed cause cancer...

This topic has expired for me true but at least now we have vaccine for hpv
