Hi Guys

We build all pages in the server's super fast memory (RAM) instead of rebuilding all pages ever time someone opens a page, which would result in a very slow site. That's all great and well but RAM caches are useless if you don't properly clear the cache once a change has been made to the database. It takes a lot of careful planning to ensure you "invalidate the cache" the moment a database change occurs.

I suspect that when we moved to a new cluster one of our "cache invalidators" isn't properly configured for the new system. This would explain why certain profiles are showing twice, because nowhere in our code do we duplicate any profiles. It is very possible that a page was kept in the RAM/cache when it should have been cleared, and the symptoms of that would be that the same profiles show up in different places.

I'm investigating right now.

Well done to ESA for continually looking at upgrading - I understand there may be a lot of tech involved especially when you do this sort of thing...whilst maintaining an exceptional site for us.

I don't think the duplicate profiles are a train smash. Sometimes I actually enjoy seeing the ladies more often than not when scrolling through the profiles.
