Can we build a short mashy course? A few quick holes before tea with just my short iron to keep the handicap intact?
Another option is to just skip out on 16 holes and focus on the 2 where one can go for the hole-in-one and the longest drive...
Personally, though, I would really like to line up a few MG teams (fourballs are just the wrong word here) to compete on my dogleg to the right for closest to the pin!
Furthermore in general golf terms, I prefer perfectly manicured fairways with soft, bouncy greens and I try my best to avoid the rough and out of bounds as far as possible. If necessary, I'd rather add a stroke or two to avoid penalties and keep it clean. But overall, if I finish with the same balls that I started, it can be seen as a good day.
I do enjoy a good cooldown session at the 19th afterwards just to reflect on the good lay-ups, navigating the wet areas and getting to the holes without unnecessary strokes.
Jip EasyBrendan, I can see why we like golf so much.... ;-)
