It's not that you were not what he was looking for in terms if appearance. It's that you were not what he was looking for in terms of sticking to your rules with him. He expected you to bend those rules for him ( cause he's so special!) When you didn't, it hurt his fragile little ego. He wasn't man enough to tell you in person and end his time with you. He wasn't human enough to get over it and admire you for your sticking to you guns.
Try not to let the little narcissist get to you. He isn't worth it.
