Is this becoming a trend ? Noticeable of late, is that when a punter/poster requests anything slightly out of the norm or outside of the narrative, be it an "executive" request to a "non-mediocre PSE" request, he evokes a verbal (or is that written) backlash, ranging from "rich men are arseholes" to "go fuck yourself". Then the "storm-troopers" are unleashed and by the time the post has run its course, the OP is either apologetic, has fled for the hills with his tail between his legs or is reticent to post in a hurry, while others just move and no longer participate. What is disturbing, and what is becoming a trend not just here but in every day life, is the mob mentality where individual, independent thought is becoming a rarity and discouraged.

Unfortunately this is a open forum and everyone has a opinion and is entitled to one. We need to understand that not everyone will share the same views and not everyone will agree with your views either.

Everyone has experiences life and situations differently therefore their perceptions, experience and realities are very different.

Agreed that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and to be encouraged but to insult a non-malicious post or poster ad nauseum is just not on. And not sharing the same views is human nature but to lash out and insult another for his or her opposing view is just not on.

I do agree insults are un called for not too long ago I was insulted by a punter on this site for telling him where to get off after standing up fir a lady who he was really rude too and conpletly out of line. I took it as water off a ducks back but to another lady the insults were all good because the said punter was a regular.

The question is where do you then draw the line. its okay to insult someone as long as I get paid or its okay to insult someone because they don't book me or I don't book them.

It's a double edged sword for people with double standards.

Yet everyone active on ESA expects rule number 1 Summed up in one word RESPECT to respected when it's directed at them however when they are being disrespectful towards others it is okay.

Respect is a two way street it is given where deserved.

There is a thin line between being highly opinionated and disrespectful.

People find criticism of an opinion as an attack.

Really quite simple if you have a request post it, just don't come across as a doos. If you do come across as a doos be open to the idea that people will criticizes you and give their opinion.

Personally I couldn't give a damn if everyone on the site insulted me why because everyone on the forum doesn't know the first thing about me the opinions of the people that matter are opinions that matter ;)

The rest can all continue to insult me because it does absolutely nothing to me it just speaks volumes of who and what they are.

I always say those who mind dint matter and those who matter don't mind ;)
