I really dont know How to put this....

Just had a guy make an appointment, call me back to ask if he can e-wallet me the cash. Obviously not!

How does anyone think this is acceptable? Why do punters try to take such advantage? why would I chance a reversal of the transaction?

Guys who want to mess around with the payment are obviously just trouble. Right?

LOL...what he does not realize is that the transaction needs to be redeemed at an ATM...

maybe next time...say yes...add an extra 200 to your fees(recovery costs)...get the money from the nearest ATM... then make him wait a day or two for his appointment...

I have used ABSA's "cash send" in the past without any problem. This the same as E-Wallet? If you withdraw the cash before the guy came for the booking there shouldn't be any problem? Would cost you time to get to an ATM to withdraw it though.

I can imagine the guy waiting outside thinking he's been scammed while waiting for the wg to come back from the ATM

Bit how would he leave a tip then? I always try to leave a tip, even when I can't really afford it.

That's actually the only way to do it.
I guess what he's banking on is that she does NOT have time to go to the atm before seeing him. What can I bet the transaction will be done minutes before the app is due to take place or once he has pitched up at her place of work. I won't go into what his plan more than likely is. Can't give other skelms ideas.

He's counting on her not going to the atm immediately. Or he'll try and talk his way out of it.

That is such a thoughtful, kind and caring mind set. May the Universe bless you many times over for your generosity. Xxx

Once paid using e-wallet and even tipped her 3/4s of her asking fee.

Wrong. That's the same thing as saying "WG's who mess around with the directions saying 'call me when you get to the corner of X and Y'" are just scammers.

As a businessperson it is your responsibility to move with the times, or not, depending on how you want your business to go. A LOT of people prefer to deal with electronic transactions versus cash. When you go to Pick n Pay to pay for your groceries, would you expect them to say "debit card? Hell no we don't want you reversing the transaction."

It's a little insulting to people to automatically assume they are criminals trying to pull a fast one. Some of us are just regular guys who for a number of reasons may want to do stuff electronically and are not out to steal from you.
