Contrary to the opinion from some quarters that Mr Pressie is a smart chess player and is always a step ahead of his adversaries,my take is he is in fact in a panic mode and clutching at the straws.
He has lost popularity in a broader South African population and within his own organization(he only enjoys support from the like minded lot who are nothing but die hard loyalists).
Firing his deputy now wld have negative consequences and would mean handing over power to CR17 on a silver platter.

The only bet I will take is that poes is busy getting his commission on the nuclear deal as we speak.

Other than that, no bets, as he is as Shy said in panic mode, and anything goes.
