I had already separated from my ex and she went on a crusade to find out any dirt on me. I used a previous alias not only here but other forums such as cycling.

She tracked me down to ESA and the shit hit the fan big time. What ultimately gave me away was asking for punts in, for example, Cape Town which she tied up to me business trips.

Muj

You certainly have a way with remembering the stories and telling the past. Thanks for the giggle and the oh yeah I remember that.

If someone is to ever write a biopic of the purple world you must become a co-writer in it as well.

When my wife and I were still going on dates to get to know each other (before we even officially became a couple), she wanted to use my phone to check something on the web. Before handing my phone over to her, I quickly went into the settings to clear the browsing history, so that she couldn't see I browsed sites like ESA, etc.

What I didn't know, is that the browsing history on my iPad synced with the phone, so she then noticed ESA on there as luck would have it.

She wasn't very impressed with me, and I had to "downplay" it a little (the number of times I've punted, etc). She still gives me grief about it on occasion, and she would definitely not approve of it if I punted as a married man.

ah, the iPad/iPhone problem, almost happened to me as well, got away by a whisker.....on another note, watch out for the iPhone's location services.

Go to Settings>Privacy>Location Services>System Services (Right at the bottom) and click on "Frequent Locations"

It is on by default!

Thank you for this one! I see it is now called "Significant Locations" (maybe since the iOS 11 upgrade?) but heck, I'm amazed at the info in there! It literally shows all the places one has been to - dates/times/frequency, etc.

Clearing the history now and switching it off...not that I plan to punt in the near future, and I'll probably use my secret spare phone if I decide to do so, but I do cheat on my diet, and wifey is already suspecting something, so still a good idea to clear this info off my phone! :-)

Somebody mentioned on the forum(on another thread relating to google map locations)...."switch to airplane mode"...apparently the phone does not record the location/s whilst in this mode.
