Name the anxiety and sleeping tab names. Anxiety tabs are usually benzo class. Sleeping tabs could be from many different drug classes. Sometimes the drugs have paradoxical effects if you take too high of a dosage.

I would suggest you take 1/4 of the dose and see what the response is. Also, take the one medication the one day, and the other medication the next. This will let you judge which one is giving you the unwated side effect. When you mix them, you have no way of telling.

Most likely it isnt the Benzo's that are getting you jazzed up, my bet is on the sleeping tab. You might need to try one from a different class.

Ah okay. This makes sense now. The first (Xanor) and the last (Zolpidem) are both Benzo or similar. First one is to calm you down. Last one is to make you fall asleep. You shouldn't have any problems with these.

The lexamil is an SSRI. It is quite a potent SSRI as well. Supposed to act like a mood stabilizer. However, MANY people report a very tough first 2 weeks on the drug before things settle down.

Energy, insomnia, irratability are usually found in the first two weeks. This is why many times they are prescribed with a benzo to 'take the edge off' - atleast initially.

Have you just started the medication, or have you been on it a while?

If you have just started it, and its really not agreeing with you, you can still drop it when you want. If you have been on this SSRI for a while, it has to be GRADUALLY and SLOWLY discontinued over many weeks.

Please remember, this is in no way medical advice, I am not a physician, but I know my way around these substances quite well - having battled my own psychological problems for many years.

In my humble opinion and experience I can offer this advice. Benzos (including the sleep meds) are for SHORT TERM USE ONLY. You should not be on them for longer than a week or two as you will end up with a very bad withdrawl if stopped. They will create dependence.

SSRI's (I have tried a few) turn you into a zombie, and some have long lasting effects that can last months and years. I never had any luck with them whatsoever. Google SSRI withdrawl and read about peoples experiences with them. Its brutal stuff.

I eventually after many years found supplements that helped me tremendously with mood, sleep, anxiety. They have no side effects, no abuse potential and work nearly as well as the drugs did. I only keep benzo's on hand for anxiety emergencies.

Maybe if you start with your inner-self and get help you might get sorted. No wonder your life is such a mess.

That is not a very nice thing to say...

Adco zolpiderm is definitely a benzo. That was one of the drugs that my loved one is addicted to. Have you mentioned to your shrink that you have a narcotics problem?

Sage advice. One can actually die from seizures caused by the sudden withdrawal from benzos.

That is just uncalled for Oom. Many of us suffer from depression and anxiety. It's no joke.

How can suffering from a depressive disorder hurt others?

Been on the xanor erratically. They work well for panic attacks.

Been on the Lexamil almost 2 months and the zolpiderm 2 days.
