My wife has pressurised job, so we only communicate when necessary.

Whereupon the various dogs chickens and ducks look at me with expectation wondering if I actually said "I'm going to feed you all," or if I'm simply chatting away like I usually do with them.
They are all very forgiving and don't seem to mind my punting, so no excuses necessary.
