Having taken the advice to heart to get a punter phone , does anyone have any recommendations on where to get a SIM card that has been "rica'd" in the Guateng area ?

A lot of the cellphone shops will be able to help you if you ask. And I don't mean the Cell C, Vodacom or MTN stores. The ones normally owned by immigrants from South Asia...

I've never paid much more than a normal sim, but I make friends with my local cell shop guys normally.

Probably easier not to have an actual second phone, but just a sim which you could keep in your wallet
