A few things come to mind regarding perceptions of industry quality.
1) Poor economic conditions have driven more women into the industry.
2) Women from neighboring countries are also flooding the industry
3) Criminals are having a great time. Robbers and blackmailers in particular.
4) Technology has an impact. Everybody, including the very poor, have smartphones. It blurrs the lines between streetwalker and the more 'exclusive' women.
5) As in all industries consumers nowadays don't have to choose between quality and affordability anymore. I worked for a company that sold expensive goods and when customers complained we could tell them that "quality has a price". The company went under because it couldn't change with the times. Consumers now demand excellent quality at reasonable prices. This industry needs to adapt as well.
6) SA society's attitude towards women is bad. I watched a documentary recently where they spoke to many prisoners currently serving sentences for rape,assault and murder of women. It was shocking to hear how these guys viewed women at the time they commited their crimes. All of them saw women as objects, not people. And that attitude they learnt at home and from society at large.
7) Punter demands may have become unreasonable. Again,I will blame it on technology. When I was young,porn was scarce. You got your hands on the occasional video and the sex portrayed in those videos were tame in comparison to the shit available freely on the internet these days. The 'golden age' of porn is long gone and nowadays any sicko with a smartphone can make and upload porn. Kids share that shitty porn on whatsapp at an early age.

@WichedOne ... If you noticed a hot video and realized the lady's still in the industry, she wouldn't have looked as hot no more. Human minds are silly things, you always want what you can't have :-)
Today's ladies, hotties are all over the site, damn. Just, they think they need to charge more to earn well. Big mistake... But, complaining took me nowhere. Bless the man whom invented wanking though! He saved me thousands!

Not to mention the quality of the Rand was FAR better in 2011 today it's worth shit
