Hi I see some specials running down in the net. Any recommendation which is the cheaper city? Never been a fan of KL really but willing to try it as I heard shopping is cheaper that side.

KL is cheaper...in between Bangkok and HK.
Singapore is on same level as Honk Kong-Tokyo-NY & London.

Malaysia is a good tourist destination.... many things to see and do. Food is excellent, a unique mix of Indian, Malay, Chinese cultures.
Cheaper than Singapore for shopping, travel, sight seeing etc. It has some mean beaches too that Singapore lacks. Langkawi is bliss.........

KL better value for money, esp. with weak ZAR right now

Singapore will require deep pockets my man from accommodation to punting etc the whole place is damn expensive

KL is just a city. Shops a plenty, interesting in a touristy fashion. Go have a blast but a few days out of the city is just too good to miss. Jungle, beaches, hill towns. I love the country.
Singapore... Its not terrible but just doesn't do it for me. everything is just too organized clinical and soulless.
